While earning a Bachelors in History from the University of Georgia in 2012, Stephanie Abernathy fell in love with incorporating historical elements into everyday modern life. Stephanie studied Interior Design at Savanah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, GA. Prior to returning to school to study interior design, in 2015 she began working as a design assistant in high-end residential design in Rogers, AR.
After that, Stephanie spent time working under other designers in residential design and commercial design, including time spent abroad in London, UK, where she learned how to expertly blend old world elements with contemporary design.
In 2021 Stephanie launched Studio Wellington with Co-Founder Ashley Malone, where a strong understanding and appreciation of classical design principles is a cornerstone of her design process. The ability to blend antique elements, classical architecture, and contemporary life is a skill she excels in. Stephanie enjoys collaborating with clients and looks forward to challenging designs.
Stephanie is an Allied member of the American Society of Interior Design and a professional member of The Institute of Classical Art and Architecture.
Ashley Malone has always had a passion for art in all forms, but especially art created within the spaces of life. She strives to share her client’s story in their home and uses the home as her canvas. For Ashley, the value of the art of interior design coincides with her passion to create comfort and functionality combined with sophistication and elegance.
She followed this passion to Savannah College of Art and Design where she earned a degree in Interior Design and graduated Summa Cum Laude. This is also where she met co-founding Studio Wellington Designer, Stephanie Abernathy. They quickly bonded over their love for classical and contemporary design.
Ashley has a decade of experience, including a background in art curation, interior and exterior design, and project management. It is very important to Ashley that she stays involved in the design community while actively working and is an Allied ASID member and a member of the Institute of Art and Architecture.

Project and Operations Manager
Susan Williams is a local Atlanta artist and manager of operations and Projects at Studio Wellington. She dove headfirst into the world of design while pursuing her degree in Studio Art at Georgia Southern University.
Her studies focused primarily on Animation and Illustration, but it was her time spent in Paris where she discovered a love for classical painting and architecture. Her skills and interests developed abroad pair perfectly with the historically informed aesthetic at Studio Wellington. After graduating in 2016 she moved back to Atlanta to continue developing her artistic career and has teamed up with Studio Wellington to keep things running smoothly during the design process.
