Stephanie launched Studio Wellington with Co-Founder Ashley Malone in 2021. She excels in blending antique elements, classical architecture, and contemporary life to create tailored designs for her clients' lifestyles. Stephanie’s unique understanding and appreciation of classical design principles is a cornerstone of her design process, and she enjoys collaborating with clients to find solutions to challenging designs.
Ashley Malone has always had a passion for art in all forms, but especially art created within the spaces of life. She strives to share her client’s story in their home and uses the home as her canvas. For Ashley, the value of the art of interior design coincides with her passion to create comfort and functionality combined with sophistication and elegance.
She met Studio Wellington Co-Founder, Stephanie Abernathy, while studying at SCAD. They quickly bonded over their love for classical and contemporary design. Ashley has a decade of experience, including a background in art curation, interior and exterior design, and project management.
Meet the Designers
Laura Vazquez has had a passion for Interior Design for as long as she can remember. Her desire to apply her creativity and design skills in a real world setting naturally lead her to pursue a career in Interior Design. In doing so, she attended Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) where she graduated with a BFA in Interior Design.
During her studies, Laura gained an appreciation for many design styles, but her love for modern design aesthetics informed by traditional design values made her a perfect fit for the Studio Wellington team.
As an Assistant Designer Laura works closely with the principal designers in scheme creation, client communications and consultations, and management of on-site work.
Courtney Yapp graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) where she first met principal designers Ashley and Stephanie. Her appreciation for blending classical and modern architecture grew exponentially in her time traversing medieval villages in the south of France, aligning her with the values of Studio Wellington.
She left SCAD with a BFA in Interior Design and quickly thereafter obtained additional credentials as a LEED Green Associate and WELL AP. She is passionate about sustainable living, health, and wellness, and is mindful of these aspects in her design work.
Her role on the team involves connecting and communicating with clients and assisting the principal designers in creative endeavors. Courtney is an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers and the Hospitality Industry Network (NEWH).
